Distinct Health OB/GYN: Where Empathy is the Pulse in 2025.

From the confusion of adolescence to the anticipation of the preconception period, from the recovery after childbirth to the transition of menopause, a woman’s life is always facing exclusive health issues at different stages.

We understand that every time we enter the consultation room, behind it is an expectation for “peace of mind” – a desire to be truly understood, to be gently taken care of, and even more to obtaintrusted health protection.

And these are precisely the starting points for all the efforts of Distinct Health’s obstetrics and gynecology department. In 2025, we have delivered an answer that belongs to this expectation with continuous self-innovation, solid professional growth, and a consistent empathetic heart.

From “Symptomatic Treatment” to “Full Cycle Protection”

We established the “Women’s Medical Health Center”

In 2025, Distinct Health’s obstetrics and gynecology department achieved an important leap: no longer limited to the traditional role of “only treating gynecological diseases, only taking care of childbirth,” but re-establishing a more profound goal –from “treater” to “health planner” for the entire life cycle of women. We believe that women’s health is never an isolated node, but a continuous trajectory throughout life.

After several months of careful preparation, Distinct Health “Women’s Medical Health Center” officially opened and has been successively launched and operated in Distinct Health clinics in Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Changsha and other places.

At the first project launch meeting, we invited the obstetrics and gynecology expert – Dr. Lu Mingxu, a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, to serve as a consultant

With the establishment of the Women’s Medical Health Center, doctors from Distinct Health’s obstetrics and gynecology department have carefully polished a “Women’s Health Passport” (Women’s Health Passport). It is not an ordinary physical examination manual, but a health management tool and medical guide exclusive to women.

This passport takes the entire life cycle as its perspective, meticulously covering every important stage: the youthful ignorance of 13-17 years old, the prime childbearing years of 18-39, the mature transition of 40-49, and the silver-haired elegance of 65+. No matter which stage of life one is at, one can find exclusive health coordinates here.

Every screening recommendation in the “Women’s Health Passport” comes from the latest evidence-based medical evidence, avoiding unnecessary examinations and treatments. From “how often should HPV be checked” to “how to scientifically manage pregnancy and pregnancy”, to “how to vaccinate” and “how to screen if there is a family history of tumors”, these common and key health issues all havetailor-made answers in the passport.

12-month interdisciplinary training

Enable every doctor to have multiple perspectives

It’s easy to name a “center”, but to be worthy of the title of “holistic health management”, it requires real skills. In order to break down the barriers between disciplines, doctors have started a high-intensity interdisciplinary course “cultivation” for up to12 months.

The curriculum is fully in line with the standards of general practitioners: from common internal diseases to mental health screening, from early cancer screening to genetic counseling, and also involving nutrition and exercise prescriptions.

This means: When a woman enters the consultation room, she is not only served by a gynecologist, but also by a “medical butler” with an international perspective who can coordinate her physical and mental health. We hope to break down the walls between disciplines and provide her with a more complete and coherent care.

Redefine “Gynecological Examination”

Make “Gentleness” a Medical Standard

“We get nervous at the thought of a gynecological examination” “The discomfort during the examination makes people afraid to seek medical treatment” – we have heard too many women’s voices. In 2025, Distinct Health’s obstetrics and gynecology department took practical actions and measures to declare war on the “discomfort” of gynecological examinations, making “gentleness” a hard medical standard.

Double Protection of Environment and System

We have redesigned the environment of the consultation room and operating room. Adjusting the room temperature, changing to more comfortable examination mattresses, adjusting the angle of the lights, upgrading the privacy curtains… Every detail improvement is to maximize the “de-coldness” of the medical environment,so that when you walk into the examination Room, you can relax physically and mentally first.

We have written “gentleness” into the department’s regulations. The“Gynecological Diagnosis and Treatment Pain Management Plan” officially implemented this year, clearly stipulates every detail of the operation to reduce discomfort: from the timing of the use of lubricants, the golden angle of the speculum placement, the timing of the pain score intervention, all are regulated. We hope to make “lighter”, from the personal touch of the doctor, become a diagnostic and treatment standard that all doctors can achieve.

This “Empathy” Comes from the Doctor’s “Personal Experience”

To truly understand the patient’s “pain”, doctors have done something that requires great courage –from doctor to “patient”.

In addition to sending doctors to study the latest academic trends in pain management internationally, we have also innovatively introduced a “personal experience” training session in our internal training. Doctors personally experience the touch of examination equipment and simulate the helpless perspective of patients lying on the examination bed.

It is precisely because of this empathetic “cutting experience” that we are more accurate when improving the operation. Eliminating all unnecessary actions that may cause discomfort, just for your surprised exclamation at the end of the examination:Hey? It really doesn’t hurt.”

Listen to the users’ voices

What is the “full mark clinic” in the hearts of women? In order to find the answer, in 2025, Distinct Health’s obstetrics and gynecology department also held a special workshop – “Her Full Mark Clinic”, with the most sincere attitude, to “learn from” customers.

Face “Bad Reviews”: No Evasion, Only Progress

We have collected the most harsh voices from social media and complaint records, from “rude service attitude” to “long waiting time”. Doctors face-to-face analyze the deep reasons for these “under the iceberg”, no excuses, no evasion, just to remember:Every voice from the customer is a heart that may be disappointed.

Immersive “Role Swap”, Reshaping “Empathy”

In order to empathize, doctors took off their white coats and played the roles of “anxious pregnant mothers” or “shy gynecological patients”. Everyone held the “customer journey map” and went through every step of making an appointment, triage, waiting, and examination again.

In the simulation, doctors keenly captured those “grinding” links that had been overlooked – perhaps a response from the front desk, perhaps the restless gaze at the entrance of the examination room… Through collective discussion, we eliminated many unnecessary processes. This “co-creation” made obstetrics and gynecology doctors understand:The standard of medical treatment is never what the doctor thinks is “good”,but what the customer feels “comfortable”.

Continuous Learning

Embrace Cutting-edge Genetic Technology

The tide of medicine surges forward, and only by running continuously can we stay ahead of diseases. At Distinct Health, learning is not just a slogan – Distinct Health doctors have“paid academic leave” every year, which allows them tofocus on further education and in-depth research, making professional growth visible and sustainable.

At the same time, each department holds a large-scaleannual academic conference every year. Doctorsdiscuss difficult cases, exchange ideas, and collide with thoughts here, illuminating each other in collective discussions and jointly promoting the advancement of diagnostic and treatment levels.

In 2025, at the obstetrics and gynecology annual meeting with the theme of “Distinct Sincerity, More Life”, we turned our attention to the more microscopic world of genes, taking a very forward-looking step –establishing the “More Life Gene Field” to build an innovative position for precision diagnosis and treatment.

By introducing NGS (next-generation sequencing) cutting-edge technology, we are reconstructing the diagnostic map of obstetrics and gynecology, moving from “experience-based medicine” to “precision medicine”. From genetic screening for better childbirth to capturing pathogens in complex reproductive tract infections, to precise targeting and prevention of gynecological tumors, doctors are no longer just “treating diseases”, but reading the source code of life.

This means that when customers come to the Women’s Medical Health Center, what we can provide for her is no longer ambiguous probabilities, butresolute advice based on genetic data. Whether it is the anxiety during the preconception period, worries about family genetic diseases, confusion about recurrent reproductive tract infections, or screening and assessment of gynecological tumors, we can use cutting-edge scientific weapons to provide women customers with more accurate and reassuring scientific advice.

Hide the Halo in the White Coat

Professionalism is the Confidence

In the consultation room of Distinct Health, your doctor may always speak softly and patiently explain, but among them:

● Some are editors of the international authoritative journalBJOG(British Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology), and editors of several authoritative obstetrics and gynecology books;

● Some are the deputy director of the Sichuan Preventive Medicine Association’s Children and Adolescent Gynecological Disease Prevention and Treatment Branch, and the executive member of the Sichuan Preventive Medicine Association’s Ovarian Function Regulation and Related Disease Prevention Branch;

● Some are guests at top domestic academic conferences, continuously conveying cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment concepts…

At Distinct Health, titles are never a capital for showing off, and doctors rarely mention them.Doctors will melt all academic accumulation and conference experiences into every patient’s drawing explanation, and transform them into every well-considered diagnostic and treatment decision. Medicine is rapidly changing, and only continuous learning can ensure that the advice we give to you can stand rigorous evidence-based medical scrutiny and be worthy of your trust.

Looking back at 2025, all the “breaking boundaries”, “hard training”, “detail revolution” and “cutting-edge exploration” ultimately point in the same direction: every woman who trusts us. We are well aware thatthe essence of medicine is the connection between people.Professional medical skills are the foundation, but only by injecting deep understanding and continuous care can we build a real health protection.

The growth of Distinct Health’s obstetrics and gynecology department is a tree that continues to grow towards the sun, its roots are deeply rooted in the soil of rigorous medicine; its branches and leaves strive to stretch out, just to be able to cast a more reassuring and gentle shade for “her” life journey
